Lab 1: The Urmadic City

Tony Fry has instigated the Urmadic (nomadic/moveable) city project. He invited the Artlab team to join him and his Masters students to both observe and participate in the design process, with outcomes shown both in a public forum and in the Asia Pacific Design Unlimited Triennial

The project has two key elements. The first was an installation on “chronophobia” (the inability of human being to think and confront time) and the second was experiential images of a urmadic (nomadic)  city within the bracket by of a ‘state of the world’ picture and futural cityscape.
